SCIENCESS Election 2012/2013

Assalamualaikum wbt.

Hey guys, we meet again! Sorry for not updating the blog for few moments.

For this post, I would like to encourage all of you to join the SCIENCESS Election 2012/2013.

The polling will be held on this Thursday, 29/11/2012 at KoS Resource Centre (WacKoS).

 

Why we should vote? Well, first it is our responsibility to choose a good leader that gonna lead us for another session. If you do not choose a good leader, how come they gonna hear your voices, your opinions and your complaints?

In addition, few of our Awesome members had become the nominees for this Election! They are our Treasurer, Muhd Idlan Afiq B Mohd Zahari; Tax Girl, Siti Noor Hasmiza Mamat; and also our Masternotes for MCB & Microbiology, Muhamad Fitri bin Arshad.

Well, Idlan and Hasmiza have won uncontested for the position of Head of Public Relation & Info and Head of Economy Bureau respectively. However, Fitri still need your votes to beat other two opponents.

So let's give support to our batch members! Don't forget to vote on this Thursday! it's easy, just make an 'X' mark next to the picture of the nominees that you chose.

The results will be announce in the evening during Annual General Meeting (AGM), starts at 7.45pm at Main Auditorium.

[OC] Material Safety Data Sheet

Assalamualaikum wbt.

Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). Sounds quite unfamiliar isn't it? Well, for those who are Dr. Anuar's students for OC Lab, you have been told about this.

Before that, let me quote you the definition of MSDS from Wikipedia :

A material safety data sheet (MSDS), safety data sheet (SDS),^[1] or product safety data sheet (PSDS) is an important component of product stewardship and Occupational safety and health. It is intended to provide workers and emergency personnel with procedures for handling or working with that substance in a safe manner, and includes information such as physical data (melting point, boiling point, flash point, etc.), toxicity, health effects, first aid, reactivity, storage, disposal, protective equipment, and spill-handling procedures. MSDS formats can vary from source to source within a country depending on national requirements.

 So, did you understand it? Or you just skipped it because it is too long and complicated? Okay, let me tell you in a simple words.

MSDS is actually a guide of safeness in laboratory. It tells you what to do, what not to do, properties and composition of chemicals, its effects and warning and so on. So, when you have this MSDS, you will be more careful in running the experiment(s).

In my opinion, every scientist, scientist-wannabe, and anybody who involved with experiment and laboratory should have this MSDS, so that there will be no undesirable incident happpened in the lab.

Lastly, just want to remind to all Dr. Anuar's students to prepare this MSDS before you having each lab session. Please find out the properties (chemical & physical) of the chemical(s) you gonna used in the lab. Other students, it is not compulsory but I strongly recommended it.

Actually, i have been thinking of something

something that will make this blog very useful for all of us

so that you guys will always read this blog

and keep the post updated from time to time

I just want to share the abundant knowledge

about diet, fitness and healthy lifestyle in this blog

I feel that it is unfair for me to know many valuable facts and knowledge

about our precious gift(health) without sharing it with you guys

After all this time, those knowledge

remain only in my head since i did not know how to share it

but i would like to take the opportunity

from our batch blog 

to share anything about healthy lifestyle here

Awesome Raya Celebration 2012

Assalamualaikum wbt.

Hey guys! Our batch will gonna have our annual 'jamuan raya' or formally, Awesome Raya Celebration for this year!

We'll gonna sit together, eat a large amount of dishes (no diet on the day of event!), chit chatting, enjoy the performances and many more! In simple words, we'll gonna have a very fun moment together.

How to Study Organic Chemistry?

Do you want to know how to study Organic Chemistry? Here are some of the tips :

1. Don't memorize! Memorization is the road to disaster!
